Rich responded privately that he tentatively can make it.

I also heard interest from Andrew Klofas, who plans to bring his sister
as a guest.  I haven't heard from anyone else yet.

Here's a scheduling problem... I (and others) may plan to go to Southern
California if it looks like the space shuttle Discovery will land at
Edwards on Friday or Saturday.  For now, they're trying to keep options
open to land it in Florida with one of two landing opportunities this
evening.  We'll keep an eye on that.

Assuming the Black Rock trip will go ahead, I'll suggest Saturday we travel
there, hike around, camp overnight at Upper High Dry lakebed.  Sunday we
hike around a little more and then return home.  Some of this will re-trace
the intro we gave to Bob Verish last year, but for Rich this time.  But
with any time to explore new territory, I'd like to focus on the ridge
south of Upper High Dry lakebed.  If anyone wants to make changes to that
plan, particularly if they need changes in order to attend, speak up.
